When we first purchased Clearmount, a colleague had suggested that POPs would fit perfectly with our customized Lucite designs.

So, what are POPs? They are simply Point-of-Purchase displays. Many of us are used to seeing the large ones at the end of aisles; they act as advertising signs or actually hold and display products. Past studies have shown that two-thirds of a consumer’s buying decisions are made in the store. This means the manufacturer wants to get their message to the consumer the instant they are next to their brand and often this is achieved with point of purchase displays.

It is important to have something eye-catching, visual and impactful that the consumer will remember and remind them of the products they wish to purchase.

Eye-Catching Custom POP Displays

Point of purchases can be fun, creative and most importantly they should highlight your brand in a memorable way. Now, most of the POPs we manufacturer are unique; attention-grabbing with their own distinctive look. Much like our custom Lucite awards, we are able to embed clients’ products or reproduce their brand look and feel in custom and noticeable designs.

Clearmount has produced point of purchase displays for duty free shops, major shoe brands, clothing lines, jewellery stores. We have embedded watch gears, watches, pen displays for a major pen brand, and ball bearings. If you can imagine it, we can produce it. One of our all-time favourites is the Trebor candies embedded in what looks like a candy dish. There are a lot of discussions and diet jokes around this piece.

The custom POP displays can be as simple as a clear block with items embedded on the inside or merely screened or laser engraved with a logo. We designed a piece for a jewellery store that wanted to make diamonds float in a blue tint, as if they were stars in the sky. The piece is beautiful and timeless.

Another modest but effective piece were the small rectangle blocks we created for a number of duty free shops. The client wanted them to sit in glass display cases along with product. They were to be noticeable but not imposing so they were designed in a variety of different tints with a black acetate imprint embedded and it is a lovely custom POP display.

Custom POP Displays for Store Policies

Some POPs are used not only to direct your eye to a brand but also to tell the consumer important store policy regarding gift cards, credit card, and return information. As a durable and high-end looking item, particularly when placed at the checkout, these types of POPs attract more attention than some that may be printed on paper or cardboard that can start to look worn after a short while.

Lucite embedded products can be sent to Clearmount’s Toronto location to be buffed and polished to extend the longevity of the pieces. You would think they are brand new again! It is well worth the investment, particularly if you have a brand display that will not change too much over time.

High-End Branded Custom POP Displays

At Clearmount, we really like to come up with ideas for brands and then we create them on spec. We design and create a one-of-a-kind, creative custom POP display just to show the client that it can be done. One of the unique custom POP displays we created was the Holt Renfrew bag. We had the opportunity to meet with a Holt Renfrew executive to demonstrate our capabilities. Instead of just telling them about it, we decided to show them by coming up with the idea and creating it for them so they could get a good sense of what we could do creatively with Lucite. It is a high-end and unique branded piece, even down to the grey patterned paper.
